Our Once in a Lifetime Maldives Trip

When Mum offered to look after Ethan during school holidays, I thought hubz and I could do a couple vacation to Maldives. After searching through all the resorts' packages, I went for Club Med Finolhu Villas as it is the most value for money. 4D3N for two adults at sunrise overwater villa, inclusive of snorkelling trip, boat transfer from airport, meals plus drinks whatever wine, cocktail, beer etc cost SGD5.7K.

Most resorts with two meals and boat transfer only already charging SGD6K. For flights, you can get Sri Lankan Airlines arranged by Club Med at SGD500 per pax. But there will be a transit at Sri Lanka. I decided to book SQ instead at SGD1.1K per pax which is a direct flight of 4hrs 30mins. One good thing about staying with Club Med is that they will inform you on the latest travel restrictions etc so this is the first time I travelled without writing any itinerary.

I don't even have to worry about travel declaration to Maldives as Club Med would be reminding me on this. The staffs are honest, down-to-earth people and I need to specially thanks my butler, Farish, housekeeping, Faisal and a restaurant staff at Motu who returned my credit card to Farish. I was so careless to leave it at restaurant before going to Club Med Kani for massage session.

Club Med Kani is a sister resort but more for family with children. Finolhu is for adults who wish to relax and chill. We love our overwater villa which comes with a pool. You may bring along your own snorkelling gears to snorkel since the water is not too deep so just want to have some fun. Check out their website here.
