CNY 2018 Staycation : JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach

I will usually be either going back to Batu Pahat to visit my relatives or travelling overseas during the Chinese New Year period. However, as Ethan is studying primary one this year, he is not allowed to skip school now. That was why I wanted to do a stay-cation to sort of cheat myself that I'm on a holiday. Sigh pie.

Anyway, I got a great deal through my cousin's recommendation. He is with a travel agency where they help tourists to get affordable prices for hotel and flights. You may send your enquiry to this email address, terracotta168@gmail.com. Note that I'm not earning any commission from this. Just helping my cousin, that's all.

For a night's stay at JW Marriott which comes with breakfast and complimentary car park, I paid SGD285.00. That was totally a super duper awesome deal. If I'm not wrong, the actual price should be close to SGD400.00 since this is CNY season.

Look at the hotel's effort in decorating their lobby. The lifts changes colours every few seconds with different patterns reflecting on its walls. Truly beautiful.

JW Marriott's room designs are too cool. Hubby likes the build-in wardrobes while I'm smitten by the mirrors everywhere that makes our room a tad larger. The long sofa has more than enough space for two persons lying down flat. Like I'm serious. Must be soothing laying there overlooking Bugis and Suntec. I could read all day there too. Did I mention that JW Marriott has a HUGE bathtub which you could drown yourself in?

The indoor swimming pool's water is too cold, but the amazing CBD view saves the day.

Everything about JW Marriott is great, really. If there is one thing which they need to improve on, it would be to have more varieties in their buffet breakfast spread.

I'm completely in love with the in-room dining. I ordered a South Beach Club, and it comes with sweet chilli sauce, tomato sauce and mayonnaise. There is even a bottle of mineral water. A nice gesture though not too much. You only get what you order and nothing else at some hotels.

March 2017 Holiday Visit to the Zoo

I procrastinate so much that I'm blogging this overdue post from almost a year ago. I just have too many stuffs to clear, and it takes me days to do a write up although I uploaded way more pictures than writing. Lol..

So it was March school holidays and I had decided to bring Ethan to zoo for the second time. We had checked out all of the zoo animals during our first visit, and this time round was more of like going for the animals shows.

There were dinosaurs sculptures as part of the zoo theme. We managed to catch a glimpse of the white polar bear swimming in its gigantic pool.

We headed straight to Rainforest Kidzworld before any activities were even opened. A zookeeper was preparing some leaves to be fed to the little goats, and we quickly fed them before it got too crowded.

The sky started drizzling and we hopped by KFC for our breakfast while waiting for the rain to stop.

Next, was the much awaited water play time!

Ethan's favourite Wild Animal Carousel. Note that the carousel and trampoline fees are charged separately apart from admission fee. You may purchase ticket at the rides ticket booth.

When it comes to outdoor activity, trampoline is always number one. The same goes for me too. We simply love to jump, jump, jump! We sometimes visited trampoline parks just to bounce non-stop for an hour and burn some fats.

After that, we went to Rainforest Fights Back show, I guess. Come on...this was taken a year ago and my memory is not that great now.

Don't you think that penguins are way too adorable as they waddled away clumsily?

We totally missed out on Tropical Crops the other time since we were more focused on looking at zoo animals. A slow stroll along these plantations by the lake calmed me down. My little helper for the day warmed my heart a lot.

Our last show for the day at Animal Friends Show.

Let's bid goodbye to polar bear. We will definitely drop by soon.
