Universal Studios Singapore

Our second visit to Universal Studios Singapore, and this time we are bringing along our little boy. There are some rides only available for children, so this time we could cover more attractions in USS.

The first zone after you passed the main entrance will be Hollywood. This is also where you would be watching the Lake Hollywood Spectacular with fireworks show at 9:30pm on every Saturday, and selected holidays. If I'm not wrong, the entrance ticket to LHS is SGD5.00 if you only choose to view the show, and not going in for USS' rides. You are only permitted to go in after all attractions had been closed for the day.

Hollywood zone is basically more of a meet and greet section, street entertainment, shopping, dining, and you get to see the Sesame Street Show.

We turned to the left to Madagascar zone since this visit was meant for Ethan to enjoy himself. He always love going to theme parks, and we never failed to visit one whenever we travelled overseas.

King Julien's Beach Party-Go-Round
Children under 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising adult

Hop on to your favourite wild animals at this family carousel.

Madagascar: A Crate Adventure
Must be at least 80cm to ride, children between 80cm and 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising adult

I did not manage to snap a photograph of us as this is an indoor boat ride.

Up next is Far Far Away zone where you will see all the characters from Shrek.

Puss in Boots' Giant Journey
Must be at least 100cm to ride, children between 100cm and 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising adult

I'm terribly afraid of roller coaster, partly due to the height. However, this ride covers mostly inside of a castle, and the speed is at 36km/hr. Makes me more comfortable when seated in a cart as well.

Magic Potion Spin
Children under 100cm must be accompanied by a supervising adult
Maximum weight per gondola is 200kg

This mini ferris wheel is right inside Fairy Godmother's Potion Shop. If you are unable to locate it, you will still exit to this shop after visiting Shrek 4-D Adventure or Donkey Live Show.

We had to skip The Lost World zone as we simply had not enough time queuing for 15 to 20 minutes for each attraction.

We checked out Ancient Egypt zone right after that.

Treasure Hunters
Children under 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising adult
No handheld infants

We queued 35 minutes for this.. totally exhausted.

We love Sci-Fi City zone as our favourite Transformers are there!

Accelerator
Children under 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising adult
No handheld infants

This ride is just like the usual spinning cup, and the only difference is you do not get to spin it yourself. It spun pretty fast I must say.

TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle
Must be at least 102cm to ride, children between 102cm and 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising adult

A super cool ride, and Ethan just made it to 102cm in height. Phew!

We settled for lunch at KT's Grill, New York Zone. Service, and food are thumbs up!

Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg
Children under 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising adult

A must visit as you would be able to experience how films were made. Kinda cool!

Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase
Must be at least 92cm to ride, children under 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising adult. No handheld infants.

Do check out the cute Sesame Street's shop!

One last photograph before we end our day!
